MISSION IN AN ERA OF MIGRANTS AND REFUGEES
September 13-16, 2017 l Andrews University
A Mission Conference Organized by:
Department of World Mission, Theological Seminary
North American Division Evangelism Institute, Theological Seminary
Multicultural Ministries, Lake Union Conference
Refugees and migrants make up a massive political, economic, healthcare, and missional challenge in our day. Even before the current refugee crisis, the process of globalization was bringing new people groups into local communities. Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and others who were once “over there somewhere” are now “over here, next door.” Adventist mission, in both evangelistic and humanitarian dimensions, needs to become more effective in addressing the demographic shifts of our times.
YOU ARE INVITED to a conference made up of plenary sessions, break-out track presentations, and hands-on projects. Presenters will include off-campus specialists and practitioners, on-campus speakers from different departments, pastors, academics, recent immigrants, and others.
